1 | PRODUCT DESCRIPTION | ABTEC Rubber Forte effectively controls the abnormal leaf fall disease and dry root rot of rubber plants caused by Phytophthora sp. It is only available in wettable powder formulation. |
2 | ORGANISM & COUNT | A consortium of bio - fungicides. 2 × 108 cfu/g. |
3 | MODE OF ACTION | The affected leaves and fruits of rubber will contain numerous spores of Phytophthora which then reaches the soil through shed leaves and fruits. These male and female zoospores will then combine together to form Oospores, which can survive in the soil for 2 years under unfavorable conditions. When the monsoon starts these oospores develop into sporangium which then generates zoospores which can be carried through wind and affects new leaves and fruits. Thus the cycle continues. The microbial consortium present in ABTEC Rubber Forte prevents the germination of Oospores and Zoospores of Phytophthora sp., present in the soil, thus effectively breaking the cycle. These microbes prevents the spores from reaching the sporangium stage in the soil itself. |
4 | MOST EFFECTIVE AGAINST | Phytophthora medea, Phytophthora palmivora |
